My Story

TESTIMONY OF JONATHAN KIRK

BRISTOL BORN AND BRED Age 32

After a bad car crash in 1999, in which the police said I should have died, I walked out of the hospital the next day.

Looking at the wreck of my car, I knew Someone was looking out for me and it was time to change! However, at that time changing was not going to be easy. With a drink driving ban looming and the thought of not using any drugs, life was going to be hard!

It wasn’t as if I hadn’t heard of God because I had grown up in a Christian family, but after more than ten years of partying and putting as much distance between my family and me, help seemed far away.

This is where God’s grace comes in, 2 Cor. 12:9 ‘ …My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness….’

Only now, looking back after seven years, am I starting to know what that verse means.

By God’s grace I now have my family and my health back. I don’t smoke, drink or take drugs. He has seen me through the break up with my girlfriend, a trip to the sanatorium, the loss of my Nan, my boss and my job which I had been in for sixteen years. [That is another story of God’s grace].

Now I am on my way to Bible College to learn more about my God, His love, His grace and the way to tell others.
