My Story

I was born into a completely non-Christian family. As I grew up I was unhappy at school, and struggled to find acceptance from my peers.

At secondary school, I became very depressed, while experimenting with drink and drugs.I gave up on studying almost completely, although I stayed in school. I lost interest in almost everything.

The turning point in my life came when I got my first job at a local supermarket. One of my collegues was always so happy and nothing seemed to get her down. I began talking to her and discovered she was a Christian. The Christianity she told me about was different from the Christianity I knew about.

Rather than being bound by a lot of rules, she had a real relationship with God - she talked to Him, and He talked back.

This grabbed my interest, and I eventually attended church one Sunday. It was also very different from what I expected - drums in church!! I kept going, and around a month or so later I gave my heart to the Lord.

Four years later, my relationship with God is stronger than ever. I am attending Bible school and volunteering at the church, as well as being a member of the worship team.

But best of all my mum and brother have both given their hearts to the Lord, and that would not have happened if God had not shown me where to find heaven.
